1. Download iBackupBot
2. Backup your iPhone/iPod in iTunes
3. Open iBackupBot and find the backup, then load it.
4. Find Library/Preferences/com.apple.keyboard.plist and open the file. (if your software isn’t registered you’ll have to press cancel and then it will open)
5. Add in the following code: KeyboardAutocorrectionListsYES
6. Save your modifications, and then restore from backup from within iBackupbot.

IBM announced an exciting update to its full-featured, cloud-based e-mail service, LotusLive Notes® – a fully hosted service offering for BlackBerry Enterprise Server,  starting at $10 user/month. 

This new capability means that small, medium and large enterprises will no longer be required to maintain an on-premises infrastructure for serving the needs of their BlackBerry mobile device users.  Plus, as a component of the hosted BlackBerry Enterprise Server, customers selecting the MDS option now have the ability to provide their users with secure wireless connectivity to intranet-based business applications of their choosing.

As the fastest growing e-mail platform, IBM is also augmenting the optional “Traveler for LotusLive Notes” subscription with support for Android® OS.  This additional platform expansion demonstrates that IBM’s strategy to provide access to the LotusLive Notes service through mobile devices running the extremely rich and innovative Traveler application – via Apple® iPhone and iPad, Windows® Mobile, Nokia® Symbian and now Android devices – is well-positioned to address the mobile needs of virtually any customer.

Losing your smarpthone is bad enough. But if you lose your iPhone and don’t issue a remote wipe command (available for free with the Find My iPhone app) then you could find yourself in a world of hurt. Researchers at the Fraunhofer Institute Secure Information Technology (Fraunhofer SIT) can jailbreak and decrypt passwords from the iPhone’s keychain — for say, your Gmail account, corporate VPN, home WiFi, and MS Exchange — in about six minutes using existing, known exploits. Sorry kids, your flimsy lockscreen passcode won’t help.

AppToyz helicopter, coming to retail soon and costing a (relatively) affordable £50, or about $80.

This is a rely interesting approach to a mobile payment solution that let the customer and the receiving company circumvent the carrier and Apple in this case. Lets see how many that will follow in the foot steps of Starbucks and how long it will take until Apple updates it policies to only allow payments using the appstore and the itunes account.

I especially like the way they are using multi touch and there smart way of letting the screen go “black” to conserver battery while between interactions.

I stated while I was out doing shopping for an event I’m ruining this weekend and I decided to look for a remote for my Xbox 360. I pulled up my iPhone and fired up safari i to go to my favorite price comparison site prisjakt.nu.

At the top of the webpage its invites me to download there iPhone application (app i sin Swedish). I’m some what skeptic of these applications after having tried quite a few and thrown them away before but I decided to give it a go.

I download and install the app, search for the product that I want to by and so far the app is not providing much more then what I get form the mobile site so I’m starting to feel as if this was a once downloaded app and then throw away.

Since I was interested in buying the remote control right now i decided to click on the menu item “butiker” or sores in English.

This is where the app rely changed my mind and expanded in to the full blown convergence of mobile app, the app not only showed the sores which has the remote in stock, it also showed the nearest stores for me base don my gps position. It the allowed me to do mouse over the different locations to get the actual stores prise for the remote.

Now this is a great example of how you extend the mobile web with an app and merge some of the great capabilities of the mobile web with the power of the cellphone and its embedded capabilities.

Once I clicked the store info badge it provide me with options for how to contact the store and it also provided me the option to get driving directions to the store.

when I clicked the directions link it fired up the iPhones built in maps application with starting location based on my gps position and the store as the destination for my trip.

Once in the store I also learned that the app allow you to take a picture of a barcode and do a search for the lowest price based on the barcode.

I think this is a great example of how you build a exeptional mobile experience that delivers additional value then just wrapping your web site to a mobile app.

I would relay like to see more apps that mashes the functionality of the mobile web with the capabilities of the device you are interacting from.
